Bluetooth® LE 5.2 Wireless Network Coprocessor
BlueNRG-2N is an ultra-low power (ULP) network coprocessor solution for Bluetooth® Low Energy applications.

It embeds ST’s most advanced RF radio IP, combining unparalleled performance with extremely long battery life.

It is fully compliant with Bluetooth Core Specification version 5.2 and supports enhanced features such as state-of-the-art security, privacy and extended packet length for faster data transfer up to 700 kbps at the application level.

The BlueNRG-2N is Bluetooth® 5.2 certified, ensuring interoperability with the latest generation smartphones and other host devices.

The Bluetooth Low Energy stack runs on the embedded ARM Cortex-M0 core. The STMicroElectronics BLE stack is stored in on-chip non-volatile flash memory and can be easily upgraded via SPI/UART and dedicated STMicroElectronics software tools.

  • All features
    • Low power radio performance
      • Sleep current consumption reduced to 900 nA
      • TX current consumption 8 mA (@ -2 dBm, 3.0 V)
      • RX current consumption 2 mA (@ sensitivity level, 3.0 V)
      • Programmable output power level up to +8 dBm (@antenna connector)
      • Excellent RF link budget (up to 96 dB)
      • Integrated DC-DC buck converter and LDO regulator
    • Bluetooth® 5.2 certified
      • Ensure multi-master and multi-slave communication
      • 2 masters connected to 6 slaves at the same time
      • Can handle up to 8 connections simultaneously
      • LE data length extension (application level up to 700 kbps)
      • Wireless firmware updates are 5x faster
      • LE Privacy 2
      • Reduces the ability to be tracked over time by changing addresses frequently, without host involvement and saving battery life
      • LE secure connection
      • The Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman (ECDH) key agreement protocol is used to establish a pairing mechanism to implement a secure key exchange mechanism that prevents eavesdropping.
